In the run-up to the Only Watch 2015 charity auction of unique high-end luxury watches, the famous manufacturer Bell & Ross has created and announced a bronze version of its famous BR 01 Tourbillon model. This new Skull Bronze Tourbillon luxury watch is distinguished by a hand-engraved “Jolly Roger” symbol that appears on the dial. In this way, such an unusual piece of new trend watches combines materials from the golden age of piracy with the modern steampunk aesthetic.
The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon luxury watch comes in a square case crafted from artificially aged bronze that measures 46 mm in width. The bold relief honeycomb dial is made of copper base with black projection and designed in the shape of the skull. What’s more, it is complemented by crossbones formed by the bezel and four screws thereby resembling a recognizable flag of the pirate ship. Besides, it is decorated with a smaller skull made of 18 karat hand-engraved solid gold. The flying tourbillon placed in a golden cage with the Bell & Ross logo appears right under this precious pirate symbol. One more distinctive feature of this exclusive sample of new release watches is its gilt hands that also reveal the traditional motifs from the military world: the dagger and the sword. By the way, one of them is used as a 5-day power reserve indicator.
The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon model has a very distinctive look thanks to the bronze alloy used for the creation of luxury watch case and bezel. This unique material composed of 92% copper and 8% tin has a special microblasted finish that gives an excellent ancient look. At the same time, the model features a contemporary case back made of hypoallergenic grade 5 titanium that provides the lightness and comfortable wearing. The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Furthermore, this one-of-a-kind piece of stylish watches for men is equipped with a manual-winding mechanical movement with BR-CAL.281 flying tourbillon. Its water resistance is secured up to 30 meters of the water level.
The Bell & Ross BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon model comes with a hand-distressed brown alligator leather strap that looks perfect with an artificially aged case and a titanium PVD-coated steel pin buckle. Continuing the pirate theme, this sample of exclusive new models of watches is offered in a wooden box reminiscent of a treasure chest with a glass dome in the center of the lid to showcase the unique timepiece. On 7 November 2015, the BR 01 Skull Bronze Tourbillon model along with other 42 exceptional high-end luxury watches for men and women will be presented at the Only Watch 2015 auction organized in support of the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy.
