FRANCK MULLER NOVELTIES FROM THE CINTRÉE CURVEX COLLECTION

This year, the renowned manufacturer from Genthod, Geneva, has pleased its clients with brand new timepieces from its iconic Cintrée Curvex collection. Let us examine the two most remarkable additions to the famous Franck Muller series.

Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex Remember

Franck Muller, one of the best Swiss watchmaking companies, has many timekeeping devices, the hands of which display time in a non-standard way, like, for instance, the Crazy Hours or Secret Hours models. In 2019, another product line with an extraordinary approach to the time indication was released by the Franck Muller brand.

The most distinctive feature of the Cintrée Curvex Remember models, which are presented in rose gold, white gold, and stainless steel, is the way of indicating time, with the hands going in the opposite direction. Technically speaking, there is nothing unusual here: the idea of reverse hands was first implemented in the 19th century in pocket watches. Periodically, this feature is used in modern wristwatches of different price segments, but it did not prevent Franck Muller to offer its version thereof.

To execute this idea, the “Maestro of Complications” famous for its fast tourbillons took the automatic caliber ETA 2892 as a basis and made a few amendments to it, turning it into a new mechanism – FM 2800 INV. In addition to several variants, these high-end watches have two sizes – 36 x 50.4 mm and 31 x 43 mm. If you look closely at the dial, you’ll see the resemblance to the Crazy Hours wristwatches in the guilloché motif. Besides, this year’s novelties feature the same hour and minute scales that are characteristic of this product line.

Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex Grande Date

Franck Muller has also replenished its product range with a new Cintrée Curvex model distinguished by a large date indicator. This high-end watch offered in stainless steel and rose or white gold comes with a case of 39.5 x 55.3 mm, which is either generously decorated with diamonds or completely lacks the precious finish.

Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex Grande Date

The Cintrée Curvex Grande Date shows off an exciting design of the dial: closed and adorned with guilloché pattern in the area of hour indication and open in the central part. The watch movement is a branded Franck Muller automatic caliber with a 46-hour power reserve, which supports the chronograph function in addition to the time and date display. The astounding novelty is equipped with a strap made of crocodile or calf leather, or comes with a rubber strap.

Undoubtedly, there are many excellent timekeeping devices from the Franck Muller brand ahead. Stay tuned!
