WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE 2020 ROLEX RELEASE

Every Rolex release is always a big-time moment for the whole world of luxury watches. Millions of collectors and fans keenly wait for the news from the world’s most outstanding Swiss watch manufacturer. Well, this year was “unique” not only for Rolex but also for other timepiece makers, as the impact of the COVID-19 on the business is but clearly palpable. Notwithstanding the hardships imposed on the market, Rolex did cause a stir. Let’s quickly look at the new collection of Rolex watches for 2020.

What you should know about the 2020 Rolex release

The release came around in the late summer of 2020. The first thing that you should know is that brand’s new collection is all about upgrading and refining the classic watches. Overall, Rolex revealed a new array of Submariners with upgraded movements, colorful Oyster Perpetuals, gold Sky-Dwellers on a rubber strap, and some other models though with minute changes.

It is needless to say that the biggest highlight of the 2020 Rolex release was the no-date Submariner, which is slightly bigger than its predecessors (41mm). The novelty is powered by the new caliber 3230 and comes with 70 hours of power reserve. The color choice has not changed much: you can still choose Oystersteel, two-tone Oystersteel and yellow gold, and yellow gold models with a black, blue, or green bezel.

Another model, Oyster Perpetual, has been literally given a new life. The classic watches are now available in a spectrum of fresh and rather appealing colors, including coral red, yellow, green, turquoise, and pink.

If you prefer the sky over the sea, you should pay your attention to the new Sky-Dweller. Now, it is made of gold and comes with a rubber strap, which makes this quite exclusive and pretty complex watch easier to adjust on the wrist.

These were probably the major changes coming with the 2020 Rolex release. Overall, this year, Rolex watches have become even closer to perfection. But whether they will remain a good investment in 2020-2021 has yet to be found.
