This men’s Romain Jerome Moon Dust-DNA watch, model RJ.M.AU.IN.003.01 Moon Invader Heavy Metal, is a new and rare luxury watch — only 1969 were made. Photos of the actual timepiece show that it is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear on the case, crystal, crown, back plate, or strap. It is fully functional, and guaranteed 100% authentic. The retail price for this watch is $14,900.

This is another case of Romain Jerome bringing the legends of our past into the present. This watch features a case made from grey steel infused with actual fragments from the famed Apollo 11 spacecraft, which landed on the moon in 1969. The case surrounds a mesh, chronograph dial with a large “X” across it. The grey steel back plate shows information about the watch.

An automatic movement powers the steel-tone hour, minute, and sub-dial hands. The sub-dials appear as a microcosm of the same mesh design on the dial. There are no hour markers, except for the company’s “RJ” logo at 12 o’ clock.

The grey fabric strap will fit a wrist up to 8.75 inches, and uses an adjustable butterfly clasp made of titanium. The case measures 46mm wide without the crown, and 17mm thick. This watch is also water resistant up to 50m.

Romain Jerome, or RJ, is a relatively new company, founded in 2004. The company’s unique concept is to put legends on your wrist. Their collections are inspired by, and pay tribute to, some of the most legendary events of the last century, while remaining devoted to the precision associated with Swiss watchmaking. This particular model, the Moon Dust-DNA, was actually created with fragments from the infamous Apollo 11 spacecraft that landed on the moon, and fibers from the astronauts’ spacesuits.
