This men's Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre a Chronographe, model number 600.2.28.S, is a gently pre-owned watch. All of the features work perfectly and there are no major signs of wear on the case, crystal, or strap. It is guaranteed 100% authentic, and sells at a retail price of $46,600.

This watch is a thing of beauty, featuring a case, crown, and lugs made of 18k rose gold. The screwed-down back plate with skeleton window gives the owner a view of the complex, Cal. 380 hand-winding movement that uses a mind-boggling 49 jewels.

The silver-tone dial provides a range of information with its series of sub-dials: At top left is the main dial that tells time, with its gold-tone hour and minute hands, which point to gold-tone hour markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o' clock.

At top right is a subsidiary-seconds dial, with a 12-hour counter within it, and a minute counter at the bottom. Two power-reserve indicators can be found at 5 and 7 o' clock, respectively. The case measures 42mm without the crown, and 14mm thick. The dark brown leather strap uses an adjustable, 18k rose gold butterfly clasp, and will fit a wrist up to 9 inches.

Since 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has carried out its tradition of innovation from the founder’s original workshops. In 1844, it is believed that he produced watch components so flawless that no measuring tool of his era could measure any inaccuracies. Consequently, he invented his own tool to do so: the Millonometer. In 1929, the company set the bar even higher, despite the Great Depression, by inventing the world’s smallest watch movement, which is unmatched to this date.
