Own a Piece of British History with New Design Watches by Christopher Ward

This year the well-known British luxury watch brand Christopher Ward has announced the launch of its new design watches dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The C8 P7350 Chronometer 75-piece Limited Edition will become probably the most significant and evocative release in the brand’s history. Each piece of this fantastic series incorporates a priceless fragment of original Duralumin from the historically significant and only remaining Spitfire to have flown in the battle 75 years ago.

To commemorate the extraordinary contribution of one of Britain’s most iconic symbols the design of the new 44mm C8 Chronometer luxury watches for men is based on the Smith Mk II A clock used in P7’s cockpit. Moreover, each timepiece comes in a black anti-reflective case and includes a careful matching of the original index fonts and colors, as well as green and blue SuperLuminova™ SLN C5 and T-C1 paints. The case back protected by museum-grade scratch-resistant sapphire crystal contains a piece of metal from the P7’s cockpit and a precisely engraved silhouette of the plane’s plan with registration and elliptical wing formation to great effect. These PVD-coated stainless steel watches are powered by a COSC-certified hand-winding in-house movement, Calibre SH21 with a 5-day power reserve. Each new luxury watch comes with a premium-quality leather strap closed by a Christopher Ward motif buckle.
